Yesterday we enjoyed a fun and eventful day in Enumclaw. The event was our glorious climb to the top of Mt. Peak. Vickie led the way followed closely by Gail. Mary and Ruthie followed with Jim staying behind to help out with the stragglers -- i.e. Mary who shifted her huge pack to him half way up. It was a beautiful hike that only could have been appreciated more if we hadn't had to watch each step to avoid slipping over the craggy rocks. At the top was a monument in the trees to Amy and a bouquet of roses in her memory freshly laid on the bench. After our delicious snack of unbelievably tasty trail mix provided by Gail we headed back down for a delightful lunch at Aunt Ruth's.
Sorry we missed both Jeannie and Bea.
Hopefully Art has now recovered from his long wait into the operating room.
We heard all about Bea's high school reunion and the fabulous time Aunt Ruth had as her guest.
It was a great day!!!
